Annual Membership Meeting / Social - April 25, 2009

Make your reservations for the special events scheduled for the day, including:

From 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 2 Programs are offered:

• Black Powder Shoot: Mike Kowalski and Dave Wheadon, $5

AND

• Behind the Lines Seminars: The Bellweather sewing guild, $5
  • Basic sewing level - a housewife (a sewing kit)
  • Intermediate sewing level - ladies cap
  Bring your own pencils (no ink allowed), fabric and paper cutting scissors (yes that is two pairs of scissors each), a tape measure and a yard stick. This is only a 2 hour event, so think of it as a speed workshop.

12 noon: 2009 Annual Membership Meeting

12:45PM, Following the Meeting is the Covered Dish Feast, $5

Main Course to be provided by the Suttler's Guild. Contact Toni Lasher to let us now what you will be brining. (Think in terms of your favorite side dish,salad or dessert. If you would like to bring paper products, flatware, beverages, or bread, feel free.)

PENNY SOCIAL:
As in previous years, a Penny Social (raffle) will be held to benefit the BVMA. Bring your donations of period items or books, bottles of wine, or food gifts for the Penny Social.

POUND SOCIAL:
Last year for the first time we held a Pound Social (silent auction) to benefit the BVMA. Larger or costlier items donated brought in a considerable sum, helping to offset expenses for the BVMA. Bring in period items, books or garments. The silent auction will continue throughout the day, and the winning bidder will be announced during the dance. Rules for the Pound Social will be provided at the Meeting.
