Burning of the Valleys Military Association

Introduction . . .

Burning of the Valleys Military Association
Greetings! ...

Since our Committee of Correspondnce first presented this Declaration in late April, we have added a number of individuals to our ranks. Its supporters now include members of ten BVMA units, the BAR, CL, LHA, CCMA, and the NWTA.

This initiative is not, nor should it be viewed as a militia "rebellion" ..... The Declaration's list of supporters includes Line and Militia. It also includes organizers of events, both large and small.

The Declaration is a policy statement that transcends umbrellas, and it is not an "us vs. them" issue.... nor is it about personalities or egos.

The Declaration is not about a specific event, the 1778 campaign, or any specific organization.

The Declaration's focus is the appropriate presentation of our respective personnas in a manner that respects the integrity of each.

We plan to continue our efforts to implement the principles espoused in the Declaration, this year, the next, and beyond.
