  • Documentatin
  • Appropriateness to topic (reflection of a learning experience related to an 18th Century topic)

Purpose of Awards
The youth of the reenacting community are the future of living history and carry with them a potential to unearth more research and explore in more depth the historical stuffs that have drawn us magically to this avocation.

These awards serve to encourage, enlighten and empower our youth with motivation, determination and knowledge to continue the spirit of reenactment.

A note to:

  • Reenactors - we have a duty to pass on the knowledge we have obtained in this field, whether it seems minuscule or too complicated. Whatever you have learned you can share your knowledge with a student working on his award. Be available, and offer your help to a student.

  • Parents & Students - Use the skills and resources all around you in the reenacting community to help you in this project. Feel free to ask others for help, ideas, and apprenticeship, even. Most will be happy to help you. Please contact a BVMA staff person if you have any questions (see below).
