Each year, at the annual BVMA Banquet in March, the BVMA gives out several awards to recognize those members who have exemplified the spirit of reenacting in their respective categories during the previous season. These awards are voted on by the membership.

At the Annual Meeting in March, 2011, the following awards were given for the 2010 season:
• The Bernard Sawyer Memorial Soldier Award: Louis Myers
• The Margarite Syfert-Hines Memorial Civilian Award: Chris Depta
• The Steve Hines Memorial Music Appreciation Award: Ralph Rudolph
